TradeRisks Limited was started by Alex Pilato and Jon Slater in July 2000. They both have many years of investment banking experience advising sovereign, public utilities and multinational corporate debt managers around the world.
TradeRisks was first authorised and regulated by the former UK Securities & Futures Authority in November 2001. Under the UK Financial Services Authority regime, TradeRisks is authorised as a corporate finance and investment management firm. Its authorisation includes arranging and dealing as agent/principal and discretionary portfolio management, including safe custody. The firm uses HSBC as custodian and settlement agent.
TradeRisks is also registered as an Investment Adviser with the Securities & Exchange Commission of the United States.
TradeRisks (Guernsey) Limited, a subsidiary of TradeRisks, is a Guernsey based fund management company regulated by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission. TradeRisks (Guernsey) currently provides fund management services to Landericus, a German residential property fund. TradeRisks (Guernsey) outsources some investment and property management functions to TradeRisks and Kexgill Limited respectively.
Traderisks, Inc., the wholly owned US subsidiary of TradeRisks, was incorporated in the State of Delaware in August 2001.
TradeRisks Inc. has filed patent applications in the United States Patent Office.
